Bart Skiba

Chairman of the Board/Founder

Weapons Company Reunion POC 


Bart Skiba joined United States Marine Corps and served as a 0331 Infantry Machine-Gunner in 3rd Battalion 8th Marines Regiment, Weapons Company, from 2004 to 2008. He has two combat deployments to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom to Fallujah in 2005 and Ramadi in 2006.

  

After his service he received a Bachelor’s degree in History and in Political Science from University of Central Florida. In 2011 he moved to Washington D.C. where he worked for Department of State. In 2016 he received his Master's Degree in Military History from George Mason University. He currently works for Department of Justice.


In 2008 Bart started the 3/8 Weapons Company Reunion as a way to reunite fellow brothers-in-arms. 

Travis Gundrum

Lima Company Reunion POC


Travis Gundrum served as a 0311 Rifleman in Lima Company, 3rd Battalion 8th Marines from 2003 to 2007. He deployed during Operation Secure Tomorrow to Port-au-Prince, Haiti in 2004; and Operation Iraqi Freedom to Fallujah, Iraq in 2005; and Ramadi, Iraq in 2006. 


After his discharge, he attended The Pennsylvania State University earning a Bachelor's degree in social studies education. Travis has been teaching 7th and 8th grade since 2012 at his alma mater, Cedar Crest Middle School, and earned a Masters in education from Wilkes University in 2017. Travis serves as the POC for Lima Company Reunions.

Ian Boliver

Ian Boliver joined United States Marine Corps and served as a 0311 Infantry Rifleman in 3rd Battalion 8th Marines Regiment, Weapons Company, from 2004 to 2008. He deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom to Fallujah in 2005 and Ramadi in 2006, and as part of the 22nd MEU from 2007 to 2008. He currently resides in New Hampshire.

Andrew Farrer

India Company Reunion POC


Richard Andrew Stephen Farrer, from Nashville, TN, attended school in Florida. After college he became an Assistant Manager of a Sherwin Williams store in Naples, FL. In 2004 he joined the United States Marine Corps and served with 3rd Battalion 8th Marines, India Company from 2004 to 2008. He deployed to Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom to Fallujah in 2005, Ramadi in 2006, and was part of the 22nd MEU in 2007 to 2008.

 

He currently lives in Murfreesboro, TN, and volunteers with The Mission Continues. In 2014 he begun the 3/8 India Company Reunion and has joined our ranks to be able to continue the mission. Andrew serves as the POC for India Company Reunions.

Justin Tuerck

Board Member

Weapons Company Reunion POC for Afghanistan

 

Justin Tuerck served in 3rd Battalion 8th Marines, Weapons Company as a 0311 Rifleman. He deployed as part of the 22nd MEU and in support Operation Enduring Freedom to Helmand Province, Afghanistan from 2008 to 2009. He currently resides in New Hampshire. Justin serves as the POC for Weapons Company Reunion for the Afghanistan deployment. 

Mike Vorgang

India Company Reunion POC 


Mike Vorgang served as an 0302 in India Company, 3rd Battalion 8th Marines from April 2002 to October 2005.  While in India Company he served as 2nd Platoon Commander, Weapons Platoon Commander, and Company Executive Officer. During this time, he deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (2002), Okinawa for the Unit Deployment Program (2003), Port Au Prince, Haiti in support of Operation Secure Tomorrow (2004), and Al Karmah, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (2005).


Since leaving the Marine Corps, Mike has become a practitioner of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai.  He finds that martial arts to be therapeutic, giving him a positive outlet to release aggression.  Mike currently resides in Chantilly, VA with his wife, two kids, and dog.

Hunter Stoneking

India Company Reunion POC 


Hunter Stoneking served as a 0311 Rifleman in India Company, 3rd Battalion 8th Marines from 2003 to 2007. He served on two deployments, Operation Secure Tomorrow in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, and Operation Iraqi Freedom in Fallujah, Iraq. After his service he received a Bachelor’s degree in Global Communication and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in business. Hunter is also an avid mountain bike rider who regularly participates in endurance bike racing. Facilitating cycling as a therapeutic activity for Veterans with disabilities has been a focal point in his life for many years.  

Dustin Gross

Board Member 



Dustin Gross served in 3rd Battalion 8th Marines, Weapons Company. He deployed to support the Operation Iraqi Freedom to Ramadi, Iraq in 2006. He currently resides in Kentucky.
