Our team is made up of volunteer Marine Veterans from 3rd Battalion 8th Marines (3/8) who served during Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), and our mission is very personal to each team member.

Weapons Company Reunion POC
Bart Skiba served as a 0331 Infantry Machine-Gunner in 3rd Battalion 8th Marines Regiment, Weapons Company, from 2004 to 2008. He deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom to Fallujah in 2005 and Ramadi in 2006. After his service, he received a Bachelor’s degree in History and in Political Science from the University of Central Florida. After school, he moved to Washington D.C. and began working for the government as an analyst. In 2016 he received a Master's Degree in Military History from George Mason University and is continuing his studies in pursuit of his doctorate. In 2008 Bart started the 3/8 Weapons Company Reunion to reunite fellow brothers-in-arms.

Lima Company Reunion POC
Travis Gundrum served as a 0311 Rifleman in Lima Company, 3rd Battalion 8th Marines, from 2003 to 2007. He deployed during Operation Secure Tomorrow to Port-au-Prince, Haiti, in 2004; Operation Iraqi Freedom to Fallujah, Iraq, in 2005; and Ramadi, Iraq, in 2006. After his discharge, he attended The Pennsylvania State University, earning a Bachelor's degree in social studies education. Travis has been teaching 7th and 8th grade since 2012 at his alma mater, Cedar Crest Middle School, and earned a Master's in education from Wilkes University in 2017. Travis serves as the POC for Lima Company Reunions.

India Company Reunion POC
Mike Vorgang served as an 0302 in India Company, 3rd Battalion 8th Marines, from April 2002 to October 2005. While in India Company, he served as 2nd Platoon Commander, Weapons Platoon Commander, and Company Executive Officer. During this time, he deployed to Kabul, Afghanistan, in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (2002), Okinawa for the Unit Deployment Program (2003), Port Au Prince, Haiti, in support of Operation Secure Tomorrow (2004), and Fallujah, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (2005). Since leaving the Marine Corps, Mike has become a Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and Muay Thai practitioner. He finds martial arts therapeutic, giving him a positive outlet to release aggression. Mike currently resides in Chantilly, VA, with his wife, two kids, and a dog.

India Company Reunion POC
Richard Andrew Stephen Farrer, from Nashville, TN, attended school in Florida. In 2004 he joined the United States Marine Corps and served with 3rd Battalion 8th Marines, India Company from 2004 to 2008. He deployed to support Operation Iraqi Freedom to Fallujah in 2005, Ramadi in 2006, and was part of the 22nd MEU from 2007 to 2008. In 2014 he began the 3/8 India Company Reunion and joined our ranks to be able to continue the mission. Andrew serves as the POC for India Company Reunions.

Christian Wright served as an 0351 Assaultman in India Company, 3rd Battalion 8th Marines, from 2015 to 2019. He deployed to Okinawa as part of the Unit Deployment Program in 2017 and to Spain as part of the Special Purpose Marine Air-Ground Taskforce Crisis Response Africa in 2018. He is currently attending Morehead State University pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in History.

Weapons Company Reunion POC
Nick Santoro is a United States Marine Corps Veteran who served three tours with 3rd Battalion 8th Marines, Weapons Company from 2003-2008. His deployments included Haiti (2004), Fallujah, Iraq (2005), and Ramadi, Iraq (2006). While serving our country in defense of freedom, Nick was wounded in action in the battle of Ramadi, Iraq, received a purple heart for his combat wounds, and was medically retired from the Marines. Although he battled with TBI and PTSD upon returning home and still does to this day, his recovery has never stopped him from moving forward and trying to achieve his goals. Nick graduated from Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities from Whitman School of Management at Syracuse University and later earned his bachelor’s degree in business from Drexel University. He is currently a co-owner of Personal Property Managers and a licensed Realtor in PA and NJ with Every Home Realtors. He has also been awarded the citizen of the year award from the Bucks County Chamber of Commerce. Nick currently lives in Philadelphia with his wife Katie and plays on the Philadelphia Flyers Warriors ice hockey team, which consists of all wounded veterans sponsored by the Philadelphia Flyers.

Justin Tuerck served in 3rd Battalion 8th Marines, Weapons Company as a 0311 Rifleman. He deployed as part of the 22nd MEU and in support of Operation Enduring Freedom to Helmand Province, Afghanistan, from 2008 to 2009. He currently resides in New Hampshire. Justin serves as the POC for Weapons Company Reunion for the Afghanistan deployment.
